The First Aid in an Education and Care Setting course (HLTAID012) is designed for educators and carers working in early childhood education and care services, including long day care, family day care, preschools and OSHC services.

Course Structure

This course includes:

  • Online pre-course learning (completed in your own time)

  • Face-to-face practical training and assessment with an experienced trainer

Nationally Recognised Certification

On successful completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, which includes:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Certification is valid for 3 years, with CPR recommended to be refreshed annually.
